Who we are

MD Viewer is a Chrome extension published by Pacific Front Desk LLC, Los Angeles, California ("we", "us"), which is responsible for the extension and for this policy.

The short version

Your documents never leave your computer. MD Viewer has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and we never see what you read, write, copy or paste.

What stays on your device

The extension saves the following in your browser's local extension storage, and nowhere else:

• Your settings: theme, view mode and text size
• The document you are currently editing (an autosaved draft)

Removing the extension deletes all of it.

Pages, files and your clipboard

When you open a Markdown file, use smart paste, "Copy selection as Markdown" or "Convert page to Markdown", the content is processed entirely inside your browser. It is never uploaded to us or anyone else. The extension only reads a page when you ask it to, by clicking the popup or a right-click menu item.

When you use "Open from URL", the extension downloads the file directly from the address you entered. Nothing about it is sent anywhere else.

Purchases

MD Viewer is currently free, with no accounts and no purchases. If paid features are added in the future, this policy will be updated before that version is published.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or share data with anyone
• We don't use data for advertising, profiling or credit decisions
• We don't load remote code: everything the extension runs ships inside it

Children

MD Viewer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this ever changes, this page will be updated before that version is published, and the change will be described here.
