Who we are

Markshot is published by Oleg Nochka, an independent developer, working as Pacific Front Desk ("we", "us"). Oleg Nochka is the person responsible for the app and for this policy.

The short version

Markshot does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking. Your screenshots never leave your Mac unless you choose to share them.

Screen Recording permission

To take a screenshot, macOS asks you to allow Markshot to record your screen. Markshot uses that permission only at the moment you start a capture, to take one still image of your screen. It never records video or audio, never captures in the background, and never sends any image anywhere. You can remove the permission at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording.

What stays on your Mac

Deleting the app deletes all of it. We never see any of it.

Sharing

When you copy, save or share a screenshot, it goes exactly where you send it — the clipboard, a folder you pick, or the app you choose in the share menu (such as AirDrop, Mail or Messages). Markshot does not upload it anywhere.

Purchases

Markshot Pro is a one-time purchase handled by Apple. Payment details are never sent to us and we never see them. We receive only a signal from Apple that the purchase is valid.

Children

Markshot collects nothing from anyone, so it collects nothing from children either.

Changes

If a future version ever collects anything, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described here plainly.
